Knowing how ephemeral flowers are, I walk round and round, covering miles during the day, not to miss a moment of these days of glory. You can keep your Chelsea, with its crowds and hype: the end of May is the time to enjoy our own gardens at their best.
This Azalea has overwintered outside. When the flowers are at their best, I drag the tub into the kitchen, so I can enjoy the spectaculair flowers close up, without them getting spoilt by rain.
This variety of Japanese Wisteria Rosea is one of the rare pink varieties and is fully hardy and withstanding temperatures down to circa -15 C
It is known as Wisteria Sinensis Rosea "Pink Ice" or Japanese Wisteria Floribunda Honbeni
As with all Wisteria varieties the best way to encourage prolific blooming in late Spring/early summer is to prune them back after flowering, really you can’t go wrong with the pruning – as even a hardy trim back will encourage a spurt of growth and lots
of flowers in the next season.

Gorgeous flowers!
Hello, gorgeous flowers and lovely images. Beautiful post. Have a happy day and week ahead!
Beautiful flowers and photos of them. Thank you for validating the time I spend walking around enjoying beauty.
Truly stunning images. You have some gorgeous flowers in your garden.
Have a wonderful weekend :)
Your flowers, inside and out, are a joy to see. Thank you for sharing these lovely blooms with Today's Flowers, and happy weekend.
What a wonderful selection of plants you have! Wonderful photography as well. White cosmos is wonderful on a moonlit night. I can see you out there not getting any sleep at all. Those white foxgloves also light up a night garden. Just get some flowering tobacco and you will have night scented air as well.
Lovely shots of some wonderful flowers!
Many thanks for taking part in the Floral Friday Fotos meme.
Hi Joanna! So nice that you are still around:))
Amazing photos as always. Your Wisteria is gorgeous - a plant I can only dream of.
Now I can find you in the future :)) Enjoy your June garden!

I had a wisteria similar to your pink one it grew over the stream bridge bordering the cottage I left last July, it bloomed prolifically that year just to say goodbye! I haven't found anywhere yet, still looking... Your images are beautiful...x
